Longs Drugs 2005 - 2009

Online Training Design

Revised and updated web modules for Cashier Training. Revised script to incorporate SME updates, directed audio recording sessions and edited and modified content in existing Flash movies.

Converted a print reference manual to online help using RoboHelp 7.

Facilitator-led Training Design (Training Project Lead)

Working from an initial task analysis document, designed, developed and wrote training modules to instruct over 7000 store employees in a new store inventory management system. Each course included a Participant Handout, a Facilitator Guide, and a PowerPoint presentation. Supplementary materials included a complete Reference (print and online versions) and a Quick Reference Guide. Worked closely with SME's and software development to refine interface elements. Customized the course for several audiences and differing lengths of instruction. Conducted Train-the-Trainer sessions for 10 consulting facilitators.

As Project Lead, created and maintained training documents in MS Project, represented training at all team meetings, coordinated dissemination of new and updated materials to trainers in the field, kept all online documents updated, and researched and processed answers to inquiries from business process coaches in the stores after implementation. Created an online evaluation form and tracked and codified all facilitator evaluations.

Training Facilitation

Ongoing facilitation of instructor-led classes for the Supply Chain Store System Application (part of a larger Inventory Management system. Facilitated sessions for a wide range of user levels from stock clerks to district managers.

Online and ILT Instructional Design

Designed and produced three fifteen minute Captivate modules for upper-level English class including background materials on women writers and using Word for academic research. (2009) Developed and co-authored syllabus for Writing and Academic Achievement (Department of Human and Community Services). Developed three four-hour workshops on Improving Time Management Skills, Improving Reading Speed and Comprehension, and Writing Effective Sentences (Learning Resources Center). (2003-2005)
